Treatment Options For Male Same-Sex Couples

At an initial consultation with Dr. Davies, each partner will be asked questions about their background, health, past medical and surgical histories, family histories  and other related information. A semen analysis will be scheduled. Further evaluation will be recommended to determine the best course of action for the couple

In-Vitro Fertilization-  Donor eggs are fertilized in the lab with the partner’s or chosen donor’s sperm. Once the fertilized egg(s) has developed in the lab for 5 days, the embryo(s) is transferred into the female carrier’s uterine cavity to implant into the uterine lining for fetal development. If PGT-A is utilized to evaluate the embryos to determine normal chromosome content, the embryos will be biopsied and vitrified (frozen) to transfer into the gestational carrier’s uterus at a later date once the chromosomal status of the embryos is known. Typically a single euploid embryo is transferred and all remaining normal embryos can remain vitrified for future use.
